The Martyrs of La Florida: A Great Eucharistic Defense in Our History

Through the evangelization of Bishop Las Casas and Fr. Cancer, many of the Native peoples of La Florida freely choose to live their Catholic faith.

They developed a deep understanding and love of the presence of Christ in the Eucharist and made the Eucharist the center of both their spiritual and physical lives. Their devotion was so profound, that when persecuted by the British and their allies for their faith, many chose death over renouncing Christ. This breakout explores their lives and what we can learn from the incredible witness of the men, women and children who are the Martyrs of La Florida.
