What's Our Story?
We all love a good story&mdash;from the characters and the twists and turns&nbsp;of a captivating plot to the dynamics of a conflict and the resolution&nbsp;at the end. Perhaps we love stories because they give us insight into&nbsp;ourselves, animating a deeper sense of meaning in our lives. The Bible&nbsp;is the story of God&rsquo;s love for us. It begins with him creating us out of&nbsp;love, redeeming us by that love, and finally transforming us in his love.
This divine author is love&mdash;an exchange of love within the life of the&nbsp;Blessed Trinity: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. What a story!

What's Our Story? - Session 1

Who is Jesus?&nbsp;
It is without question that no person has changed the world like Jesus&nbsp;of Nazareth. Time is measured from his birth, churches were built to&nbsp;worship him in every corner of the world, cities were named after&nbsp;his followers, and his life has captured countless works of art and&nbsp;literature. Is he a legend, a liar, a lunatic? Or is he who he claimed to&nbsp;be&ndash;God in the flesh? Jesus asked Simon Peter, &ldquo;Who do you say that I&nbsp;am?&rdquo; (Matthew 16:15). He invites us to answer the question too.

Who is Jesus? - Session 2

Am I Saved?
What Jesus did for us through his Death and Resurrection was the greatest&nbsp;act of love in history. Through this act he saved us. And then, desiring that we&nbsp;encounter him and allowing his Paschal Mystery to reach each of us, he gave&nbsp;us himself in the Eucharist. He did this for each one of us. Individually. But it&nbsp;is easy to feel unworthy of this gift of love. We may feel we have too much&nbsp;baggage. We may feel unlovable. But God didn&rsquo;t come to reveal himself to us on&nbsp;a pedestal; he came to enter into our messy condition, no matter how messy!&nbsp;He came to fix us from within&mdash;to transform us from the inside out. Some&nbsp;might be surprised by how generous and abundant the love of God really is. We&nbsp;don&rsquo;t deserve God&rsquo;s love, but that&rsquo;s the incredible reality of God&rsquo;s mercy. This&nbsp;relationship with God isn&rsquo;t all about our love for him. It&rsquo;s about his love for us&nbsp;that changes our lives forever.

This guide is a simple framework for your time with the Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament. It is not a rigid prescription; spend more time or less time in each section as you feel necessary while praying. This guide is set up for 60 minutes, but times may be adjusted to fit the time you&rsquo;ve set aside for prayer.
Invitation to the Holy Spirit &ndash; 5 Minutes
Begin your time by asking the Holy Spirit to help you pray during the Holy Hour and as you read Sacred Scripture. You may do this in your own words or with a traditional prayer like the &ldquo;Veni, Sancte Spiritus.&rdquo;
Lectio &ndash; 10 Minutes
Identify a scripture passage for prayer. It is recommended that you use the <a href="https://bible.usccb.org" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Gospel reading for the day or for the upcoming Sunday liturgy,</a> but you may select any passage. Read the passage slowly, paying attention to any words, phrases, or images that stand out to you. Then, read the passage again, attentive to words or phrases that resonate. Finally, read the passage a third time, seeking confirmation of those particular words, phrases, or images.
Meditatio &ndash; 10 Minutes
Meditate on the word, phrase, or image that stood out to you during the reading. Repeat this word or phrase, or reflect on this image, repeatedly in your mind. If other thoughts enter, acknowledge them and then return to meditation, focusing on the word of God. This is a passive prayer; you don&rsquo;t need to say or do anything other than immerse yourself in the particular aspect of God&rsquo;s word on which you are meditating.
Oratio &ndash; 20 Minutes
Spend time in conversational prayer with the Lord regarding the thoughts, feelings, and questions you have from your reading and meditation. Ask the Lord for insight and seek God&rsquo;s voice during this time. To help organize your thoughts, you may consider journaling during this time, making sure to pause and listen for the Lord before continuing to write.
Contemplatio &ndash; 10 Minutes
Spend a few minutes and &ldquo;be still&rdquo; recognizing God&rsquo;s presence with you in the Eucharist and in the Word of God. This is not a time for active prayer, but a quiet moment to allow yourself to rest in God&rsquo;s presence in gratitude for your time with Him.

Spend a few minutes thanking the Lord for your time of prayer in your own words.

In our final episode of not only Season 3 but of the Revive Podcast in general, we sat down with Bishop Cozzens and discussed how to keep the movement of Eucharistic Revival spreading. The formal three-year National Eucharistic Revival is coming to a close on Corpus Christi (June 22nd), but that doesn&apos;t mean the Eucharistic Revival movement is complete. Au contraire! The real work is just beginning! We want to thank all of you who have listened to this podcast and journeyed with us the past three years. We also want to invite you to become Eucharistic Missionaries. This whole movement will live on through our missionaries -- through YOU! This guide is a basic framework for your time with the Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament. It is not a rigid prescription; spend more time or less time in each section as you feel necessary while praying. This guide is set up for 60 minutes, but times may be adjusted to fit the time you&rsquo;ve set aside for prayer.
Quiet Prayer &ndash; 10 Minutes
Begin your time with silent prayer before the Blessed Sacrament. If you have a particular prayer you pray before the Blessed Sacrament, you may pray it during this time. Invite the Holy Spirit to help you pray. Breathe deeply and recognize that you are in the holy presence of God.
Prayers of Petition &ndash; 10 Minutes
Offer up your personal needs and prayers before God as petitions. As you do this, take time to listen and be silent, allowing God space to speak to your heart in your prayer.
Prayers of Intercession &ndash; 10 Minutes
Pray for the needs of others in your life. You may also consider praying for the Pope&rsquo;s monthly intention or the intentions of your parish. If you keep a list of prayer requests, this is the time to offer up these prayers before the Lord.
Prayers of Thanksgiving &ndash; 10 Minutes
Spend time thanking Jesus for the blessings and gifts in your life, recognizing that &ldquo;every good gift&rdquo; comes from God. During this time, you may consider writing some of these items down and journaling a bit about each of them. Explicitly note areas of thanksgiving, if you are able. Instead of expressing gratitude for your family, express gratitude for a specific moment, event, or person.
Prayers of Praise &ndash; 10 Minutes
Enter a time of praise of God in your heart; tell the Lord how good He is. If you cannot think of spontaneous praise for God, consider reciting one or two psalms of praise or the Magnificat:

Just as manna was the bread for the Israelites on their journey to the&nbsp;Promised Land, so the Eucharist is the bread for our journey to heaven.&nbsp;The Eucharist is our daily bread, our sustenance, and our source of&nbsp;every grace and blessing. As Pope Francis highlighted in a homily on&nbsp;Corpus Christi in 2021: &ldquo;To celebrate the Eucharist, we need first to&nbsp;recognize our thirst for God, to sense our need for him, to long for his&nbsp;presence and love, to realize that we cannot go it alone, but need the&nbsp;Food and Drink of eternal life to sustain us on our journey&rdquo; (Corpus&nbsp;Christi, June 6, 2021).

Why A Church?
We uniquely encounter the love of God in the Church Jesus established&nbsp;for us. Jesus didn&rsquo;t simply leave us a message or instructions to follow.&nbsp;Jesus offers us the Church, his Mystical Body, so that through her we&nbsp;may share with him in his divine life. She makes Jesus present to us&nbsp;through a profound, unbreakable, mysterious continuity with him. She&nbsp;offers trustworthy and authoritative teaching, handing on all that God&nbsp;has revealed, and helps us apply it to our lives today. She contains and&nbsp;communicates his grace, manifesting God&rsquo;s love for us and helping us&nbsp;on our earthly pilgrimage to the heavenly Jerusalem. What a gift!

Why A Church? - Session 4

Lord Jesus Christ, you give us your flesh and blood for the life of the world, and you desire that all people come to the Supper of the Sacrifice of the Lamb. Renew in your Church the truth, beauty, and goodness contained in the Most Blessed Eucharist.
Jesus living in the Eucharist, come and live in me.
Jesus healing in the Eucharist, come and heal me.
Jesus sacrificing yourself in the Eucharist, come and suffer in me.
Jesus rising in the Eucharist, come and rise to new life in me.
Jesus loving in the Eucharist, come and love in me.
Lord Jesus Christ, through the paschal mystery of your death and resurrection made present in every Holy Mass, pour out your healing love on your Church and on our world. Grant that as we lift you up during this time of Eucharistic Revival, your Holy Spirit may draw all people to join us at this Banquet of Life.
