Isaiah’s prophecy today overflows with hope: “In a very little while, the deaf shall hear the words of a book, and out of gloom and darkness, the eyes of the blind shall see.”

This is the language of restoration. Isaiah looks to the day when the Lord will speak again, and His word will heal creation. The deserts will blossom, the blind will see, the poor will rejoice, and the whole world will be made new.
